My dear readers, have you fallen in love with Michael Storm yet? If you have, you’ve probably figured out by now that he is a tortured soul with a painful past he can’t seem to shake. When he meets Kaitlyn, he’s ripe for some serious soul healing, but resistant due to his loyalty to the woman he loved and lost. While I was writing one of his scenes, the song Something’s Wrong, by Pretty Lights came on, and embodied his enduring pain so well that I wanted to rename it, Michael’s Lament! If you listen to it when you get to the scene in Chapter 25 where he loses Kaitlyn in the car chase, I think you might feel just a hint of his pain. But don’t worry, this song will not encapsulate him for very long. He is a Storm, after all.
