Do you have a favorite musician, or two, or ten? Someone who just seems to get you, and tugs your heart strings perfectly with songs about love, life, joy, and loss?
Florence and the Machine is one such artist that consistently wins my attention and praises. She sings pure magic, and when her songs play while I’m writing, I just have to get up and dance and sing along!
For this edition of Storm Sneaks, I share another beautiful match between song, lyrics, and story. When you read chapter Four, go to YouTube and listen to Only if for a Night, by Florence and the Machine. I heard it right before I revised Michael’s remembrance scene, and it crystalized his devotion to the woman he loved and lost. Does the song do the same for you?
Listen and weep!
